25 km from Buon Ma Thuot City and nearly 3 km from Buon Kuop Hydropower Station, Dray Nur is a majestic waterfall that nature has gifted to Dak Lak.

Dray Nur Waterfall is associated with two different legends, with two interpretations of the name.

One story tells of the impossible love "Romeo and Juliet" of a couple living in two different villages. Unable to reconcile the conflict between the two villages, one night of a full moon, the two young people threw themselves into the river to spend their whole lives together. Angered by the selfishness of the villagers leading to the wrong decision of the young couple, the sky made a storm; the water swelled, dividing the river into two tributaries and separating the two clans.

Another legend comes from the cave behind the waterfall, which is said to be the residence of the King of Waters. The king had a son named Nur, a handsome prince who loved to travel. One day, he met two very beautiful princesses, the children of the king of the country he passed. Their life was difficult after the death of their father. Falling in love with the girl who worked hard to eat, he followed her home and lived happily with her.

Sometime later, missing his father, Nur wanted to return to the cave to visit him. However, his wife tried to hold him back. The prince had to transform into a small rhizome, crossing the curtain of water in the cave. Since then, people have called this waterfall Dray Nur, which means the waterfall of golden rhizomys.

The two legends are different, but the water gushes from the vertical cliffs like human tears.

Dray Nur waterfall is located in a system of three waterfalls: Gia Long, Dray Nur, and Dray Sap of the Serepok River, which is indeed a combination of the Krong No River and the Krong Ana River.

In Dray Nur, white foam flies up, and water vapor fills the atmosphere, making the landscape poetic and wild. The waterfall has a length of more than 250 m and a height of more than 30 m, extending about 150 m and connecting the two provinces of Dak Lak and Dak Nong.

The most attractive thing is the thrilling experience in the nearly 3,000 m2 cave located behind the waterfall. Tourists can rush directly through the curtain of water and plunge into the darkness of the cave. Diving safety is ensured with life jackets for visitors.

Inside the cave, overlooking the long walls of water in front of the facade, the dim light illuminates the strangely shaped rocks.
