Hello,

My name is Thu Hang TRAN. I live in Hanoi, my native country, with my small family. I'm very lucky to be joining the Authentik Vietnam team, where I share tour operator duties with another colleague. Open, friendly and frank, these are just a few words to describe me.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a thousand-year-old city with a rich historical and cultural heritage and a strong sense of tradition. The city is brimming with ancient relics such as the old quarter with its 36 streets and corporations, the imperial city of Thang Long-Hanoi, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature), and colonial monuments such as the Sofitel Métropole hotel, the Hanoi Opera House... Other highlights include the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoan Kiem Lake with the Ngoc Son Temple, West Lake, the National Ethnography and History Museums...

What's my favorite destination in Vietnam?

My favorite destination in Vietnam is the Mekong Delta, known as one of the country's most important rice granaries, with rice fields as far as the eye can see and lush fruit gardens. A land of amateur songs (don ca tai tu), lined with arroyos, the region impresses visitors with its lively river life and floating markets such as Cai Be, Cai Rang, Phung Hiep... Once here, you'll never forget the smiles that shine on the faces of the friendly, welcoming locals.

What's my favorite season in Vietnam?

Every season has its charm, but autumn is for me the most beautiful season, with its adorable beauty, bright skies, gentle sunshine and pleasant russet winds. What a pleasure it is to stroll along Hanoi's flower-filled streets in the evening, where you can smell the pleasant scent of “hoa sua”, the capital's emblematic flower. An original gift of Vietnamese nature not to be missed at this time of year is “côm” (young sticky rice), a simple, appetizing dessert that reflects the refined delights of northern gourmets.
