What's my favorite destination in Vietnam?
Phu Quoc is my favorite destination because of its wild landscapes that offer a breath of fresh air. Stroll along the lovely beaches lined with coconut palms or relax in total serenity on one of its secret islands of great biodiversity. Added to its sublime natural beauty, the warm welcome of the locals and the wide variety of local produce make it a dream spot for beach and seafood lovers alike. The “nuoc mam” or fish brine of Phu Quoc, one of the best-known local specialties, is well appreciated even beyond our national borders.
A tip for your trip:
For a successful trip to Vietnam, it's best to learn about the country (culture, customs, climate...), so you can adapt more easily to the destinations you'll be visiting.
What's my favorite season in Vietnam?
I prefer summer days, when the heat is synonymous with the call of the open sea. Getting away with the family, feet in the water under a radiant sun, is pure happiness that makes up for a whole year's hard work.
What souvenirs to bring back from Vietnam?
We recommend the finest handicrafts, which you can find in many traditional craft villages. Go to Chuon Ngo for the finest lacquerware, Van Phuc for silkware and Tho Ha for ceramics... for example.
Don't forget to pack:
Essential medicines for colds, car sickness, digestive problems, allergies and skin balm, as we're not sure you'll be able to adapt to Vietnamese products.
What's my dream trip?
A trip to Paris, the city of light and lovers, is not only a passion of mine, but also of all my colleagues in the French Culture and Language department. A romantic cruise on the gentle Seine River, a touch of the famous Eiffel Tower or a stroll along the Champs Elysée and many other wonders are surely on the must-do list of my dream trip.
