25 European countries can now visit Vietnam without a visa

According to Government Resolution 229, starting from August 15, 2025, citizens of the following 12 countries will be exempt from visas when entering Vietnam:

• Republic of Bulgaria
• Republic of Croatia

• Hungary
• Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
• Kingdom of the Netherlands
• Republic of Poland
• Romania
• Slovak Republic
• Republic of Slovenia
• Swiss Confederation
Key Points to Note:
• Duration of Stay: Travelers from these 12 countries can stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days without needing a visa.
• Purpose of Entry: This policy applies to travelers entering for tourism purposes.
• No Passport Type Distinction: The policy applies to all passport types.
• Effective Period: The policy will be in effect for 3 years, from August 15, 2025, to August 14, 2028.
