The climate in Con Dao and the best time to go

Con Dao experiences a tropical monsoon climate, characterized by consistently high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, with two clearly defined seasons: the dry season and the rainy season.

This island is best visited during the dry season thanks to the mild and pleasant weather with typical temperatures ranging from 24°C to 30°C (75°F to 86°F). Humidity is also reduced during this time, making it more pleasant to visit the island and engage in outdoor activities.

From March to July, temperature and humidity begin to increase, leading to occasional rain and thunderstorms. The average temperature during this period ranges from 28°C to 33°C (82°F to 91°F), with higher humidity levels.

The months of August to October are the rainy season in Con Dao. This time of year is characterized by frequent heavy rain and harsh ocean conditions, which could disrupt activities such as diving and boat tours. The average temperature during this time generally ranges between 25°C and 30°C (or 77°F and 86°F).

Agriculture does not occupy a dominant place on Con Dao, so there are no specific harvest seasons on the island. Nonetheless, seafood is a major industry in Con Dao, allowing visitors to enjoy fresh seafood all year round.

Keep in mind that Con Dao is a relatively small and remote island, which means it doesn't experience the same seasonal variations as Vietnam's larger cities.
