2 Days 1 Night Bai Tu Long Bay Cruise
- on Apr 11, 2023 By: Ngoc Nguyen
If Halong Bay is compared to a glamorous beauty queen surrounded by journalists and followers, Bai Tu Long Bay is a quirky and charming one without much public attention. Less known than its sister, Bai Tu Long is another secret haven.
Comprising three-quarters of the Halong Bay World Heritage Site, Bai Tu Long Bay also encompasses many islands. With 3,000 rocky islets and white sandy beaches, it is known as one of the most primitive and insightful places in Vietnam. Bai Tu Long Bay and its islands still have a low population and therefore have not developed much. However, this less noisy and tourist side contributes to the fact that Bai Tu Long Bay is somehow more magnificent and attractive than its neighbour thanks to its natural and primitive beauty.
This is why many Western tourists desiring tranquillity and primitive charm have chosen Bai Tu Long Bay instead of its cousin, Halong Bay which has become over-touristy.
And among the visits, a cruise in 2 days and 1 night is the most popular way to discover this magnificent place. In this article, we are going to discuss this miraculous Bai Tu Long Bay cruise in 2 days and 1 night.

Thien Canh Son Cave
Thien Canh Son is a rather unspoiled cave located in Bai Tu Long Bay in Cong Do Nature Reserve. The cave is famous for its unique natural beauty and lyrical scenery, attracting thousands of visitors to Bai Tu Long Bay.
Inside the cave, visitors will be impressed by the magical beauty of the uniquely shaped stalagmites and stalactites formed millions of years ago. Although the area is smaller than Sung Sot Cave, Thien Canh Son Cave still possesses compelling beauty, and the cave does not have too many tourists. Entering this cave, one feels lost in a fantasy world where you can immerse yourself in your own imagination of stone flowers, baby elephants, or adorable dwarfs.
Outside the cave, visitors can admire the poetic natural scenery of Bai Tu Long Bay, and enjoy the cool fresh air of the bay. Moreover, spending time relaxing on the beautiful white sand beach at the foot of the island will be a great experience before continuing on the next excursions.
Vung Vieng Fishing Village
Of all the fishing villages in Ha Long Bay, Vung Vieng is the least touristy, perfect for travellers looking to experience local life. After disembarking from the mother ship, you will be transferred by a rowboat or kayak to enter Vung Vieng. The village offers travellers the opportunity to experience the daily life of the villagers as well as observe the culture and traditional customs of the fishermen.
These families have lived in this village for generations. Living away from the bustling tourist attractions, the people of Vung Vieng are friendly and always smile at curious visitors. It is interesting to participate in the manufacture of fishing nets and the processing of fish. The rambunctious children represent a third of the local population and their presence animates the quiet life of the fishermen.
Cong Do area
Located in the southeast of Ha Long Bay, 25 km from Bai Chay tourist port, the Cong Do area is located in Bai Tu Long bay, in the world's natural heritage area with an area of about 23 km2. It is one of the most beautiful areas, with many winding sea valleys, creating interesting natural lakes, it’s home to many marine species such as shrimps, crabs, fish, squid, and seaweed... The southwest sea of the island has a large coral reef with thousands of colours.
The coral reef ecosystem here is over 700m long, and up to 300m wide with many rare and valuable coral species like red coral, and horned coral... The coral reef here is preserved almost intact, with ornamental fish, and seahorses... live together. In the future, this place will become an underwater ecotourism area.
