Upon arrival in Yangon airport, Authentik Travel’s tour guide and driver will welcome you and transfer to hotel in the city center.

Leave your luggage at hotel and discover the highlights of the city:
Explore reclining Buddha temple or called Chaukhtatgyi Buddha temple. The most well-known Buddhist temples in Bahan town ship of Yangon. The reclined Buddha image is 66 meters long built during the 1900 of last century. This is one of the biggest Buddha in Myanmar.

Followed by a visit to 2500 year old magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, this is the most famous and sacred place of Myanmar. In the middle is the massive bell shaped stupa plated with tons of gold and especially, thousands of diamonds and rubies decorated on the top of the stupa. The pagoda is surrounded by other shrines, temples and many other religious structures inside it. The sunset from Pagoda should not be missed.

Enjoy a welcome dinner in the local restaurant.

Yangon – Twante – Dala full day (B/L/-)

Day 02 : Yangon – Twante – Dala full day (B/L/-)

Meet our tour guide at hotel and enjoy a transfer to Twante. Once out of the city, you will feel the contrast with Yangon. No noise, no traffic, only peaceful rice fields, sometimes, you will see the local villages and small pagodas along the way.

Make a stop to visit the Paung Taw Choke Pagoda or simply called Pythons pagoda located in the middle of a pond; you will see real pythons sleeping in every corners of pagoda. Enjoy the peaceful moment while feeding the fishes in the pond.

The next stop will be Shwe San Daw Pagoda, a sacred biggest one in this area before visiting the traditional handicraft pottery families in Twante. You will see the ancestral way to make pottery. All is by hand. No machine or electricity support.

After that, take a visit to the weaving textile factory at Shan Su village, Ancient moat and city wall as well as explore the local Twante market. This is really experience to explore the local life.
Lunch in the Twante town before transfer back close to the Yangon river bank to uncover Dala village by Yangon city just across a river. However, you will see the very different life from Yangon.

Take trishaw to visit around the villages and then a ferry cross the river to Yangon.
From the pier, we could walk through the colonial building streets or take taxi back to your hotel.

Yangon – Golden Rock (B/-/-)

Day 03 : Yangon – Golden Rock (B/-/-)

Meet our tour guide and driver at your hotel and transfer a couple of hours through the rural area with beautiful landscapes to Kyaikto town.

Turn left to reach the Kinpun town. From there, changing to truck with 1 hour transfer to the top of the mountain which the Golden Rock Pagoda located.  On the top, you will have time to discover the sacred golden rock that plated by gold leaf on it day by day.

Time to relax and great view to the splendid mountain ranges before take a rest in a hotel on the top.

Golden Rock – Bago visit – Yangon (B/-/-)

Day 04 : Golden Rock – Bago visit – Yangon (B/-/-)

Get up earlier than usual to see the sunrise over the mountain, enjoy the fresh air and peaceful time before your breakfast. Transfer back to the Kinpun by truck. From there, meet our driver with car transfer back to Yangon.

On the way, we could not miss the Bago known as Pegu. Stop to discover the Reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha, the four seated Buddha at Kyaikpun Pagoda and the old Kambozathadi palace built for King Bayinnaung in 1556, consisted of 76 apartments and halls. And the Shwemawdaw Pagoda is the most beautiful religious monument in Bago located in a higher position than the Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon and could be seen from 10km away.

Explore the Bago local market before driving back to Yangon.
On arrival, let take a rest on your own at hotel.

Yangon – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake (B/-/-)

Day 05 : Yangon – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake (B/-/-)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for your flight to Heho.

Upon arrival at Heho airport, meet our tour guide and driver for 1 hour transfer to Nyaungshwe town. This driving will offer you delightful scenery of the hill station region passing by the picturesque landscapes along the way.
Check in your hotel in the town by the lake and embark a boat trip to the huge Inle lake to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and see the local Inthapeople working on the lake. They stand and row the boat with 1 leg skillfully. This may be the unique way to row boat in the world.

Passing the floating gardens on the lake and listening to the guiding about the life style, the culture and how to cultivate their vegetation as well as the way to catch fishes in the lake with their traditional traps.

Explore the Nampan villages at the end of the Inle Lake. Gain the experience for their traditional handicraft villages such as silk weaving lotus, cigarette and boat making as well as the blacksmith village.

Back to Nyaungshwe town for your stay.

Inle Lake – Indein – 5 days market (B/-/-)

Day 06 : Inle Lake – Indein – 5 days market (B/-/-)

Get a pick up from your hotel and visit a local market which is the 5 days rotation market. This is the most fascinating to explore the daily life of minority and their activities.

Keep going our boat trip to Indein Pagoda. The boat will leave the lake for entering the small canal and after 30 minutes to arrive in Pa O tribe village. From the village, take a walk through the old cover path to the hundreds of ruin pagodas. From the major stupa on the top of the hill offers gorgeous views over the surrounding mountain ranges and the lake in a far distance.

Walk back to the jetty and embark on the boat to the Lake.  On the way, we make stop at the long neck women village and their silk shop and Phaung Daw OO pagoda or called the Jumping Cat pagoda before back to your hotel in Nyaungshwe town.

Inle Lake – Heho – Fly to Mandalay – full day exploration (B/-/-)

Day 07 : Inle Lake – Heho – Fly to Mandalay – full day exploration (B/-/-)

Meet our driver and tour guide for transfer to Heho for boarding flight to Mandalay.

Upon arrival in Mandalay in the morning, meet our tour guide at airport and enjoy a full day tour surrounding of the city before check in your hotel.
On the way from airport, we will turn left to a bridge and heading to Sagaing hill where a lot of Buddhist monasteries situated. Sagaing is the hill terrace so from this site, you can view the great Ayeyarwaddy River, the Mandalay city with numerous temples and monasteries. The major attractive site in Sagaing hill is U Min Thoze pagoda.

The next stop will be Inwa separated by a small river; we have to take a ferry boat to across the river and on arrival, get a horse cart riding to enjoy the beautiful rural scenery. The horse cart will take us to Bagaya wooden monastery, the Nanynt watching tower.  It is leaning tower so now we could not climb up there, and the brick Aungmyaybonza monastery.

Transfer back to Amarapura to visit the silk weaving village and enjoy a gentle walking along Ubein Bridge the longest teakwood bridge in the world to capture the awesome sunset.

Transfer to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Mandalay – Mingun – City discovery (B/-/-)

Day 08 : Mandalay – Mingun – City discovery (B/-/-)

Breakfast at your hotel and meet our tour guide for a transfer to Mandalay jetty for a boat trip along the Ayeyarwaddy River up to the north to the Mingun.

After 1 hour boating, arrive in Mingun and enjoy a short walk to visit the most highlights in the region:
Pahtodawgyi temple: an uncompleted gigantic monument. You could take hundred steps to the top of this temple to get a great view of Ayeyarwaddy River and the area.
The next destination is just a couple of minutes walking – Mingun bell. This is a gigantic bell with 90 tons in weight. Today, it is the second biggest ringing bell in the world.
Keep walking in a short distance will lead us to Hsinbyume Pagoda built in 1816 by Bagyidaw King to dedicated his wife. He named the pagoda following his wife’s name.

Get on the boat and back to the city for your own lunch and major sites exploration. It will be included the most outstanding cultural and historical sites:  Mahamuni Pagoda, marble sculpture to see how local people make Buddha statues from marble, the gold leaf making center, then visit to the Shwenandaw monastery or Golden Monastery well known for its great wood carving.  Kuthodaw pagoda known as the biggest book in the world with 729 marble slabs inscribed the Buddha’s doctrine.

And enjoy the great sunset from the top of Mandalay hill.

Mandalay – Car transfer to Bagan – Bagan discovery (B/-/-)

Day 09 : Mandalay – Car transfer to Bagan – Bagan discovery (B/-/-)

Meet our driver after your breakfast for a 3.5 hour transfer on the beautiful tranquil road to Bagan.

On arrival, check in hotel and take a rest.
In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to Gubyaukgyi Temple, famous for its mural. Our guide will tell you the great story from ancient pictures on the wall.
Enjoy your own lunch and relax at your hotel.

In the afternoon, visit the Ananda temples built in 1105 AD, houses four standing Buddha, each one facing the cardinal direction of East, North, West and South.  Then visit to Htilominlo temple to admire the four Buddhas that face each direction.

And end of the day to Shwenandaw temple and enjoy the sunset over the mountain from the temples.

Breakfast at your hotel and spend a whole day to visit this mysterious region.

Starting by a horse cart to Manuha temple contains three images of seated Buddha and an image of Buddha entering Nirvana.  This is one of the oldest temples in Bagan.  Discover the famous traditional handicraft lacquerware in the Myinkabar village.

And move to Dhamayangyi Pagoda - the biggest temple in Bagan, and then continue to Myauk Guni, Sulamani temple.
In the afternoon, explore to the local life in the West Pwazaw and Minnanthu village to see how Burmese people struggle their lives. It is a real exploration the local rural life.
Enjoy a boat trip to the Ayeyarwaddy River to capture the great sunset.

Back to you hotel and enjoy your dinner on your own. We recommend the Sunset Garden Restaurant to feel the awesome peaceful atmosphere by the river.

Breakfast at your hotel and heading to visit the Swhezigon pagoda This is the gold plated pagoda built to house the Buddha relics that brought from India thousand years ago.
Then, take a flight to Yangon.

On arrival, get a pick up to hotel. and continue to visit the city. start from the colonial style buildings, walking along the street to enjoy beauty of these old buildings built in the last century following the British architecture. Then visit the famous landmarks in the city such as Sule Pagoda built in the 3rd century right in the city center.

The next is Botahtaung pagoda by the grand Yangon River. According to the local, the pagoda was built over 2000 years ago. Enshrine the sacred relics of the Buddha.
Take a visit to the Scott market or Bogyoke market (closed on Monday) to see the local life selling the medicines, foodstuffs, garments, electrics, souvenirs, jewelry, art gallery…
