What a great company. I highly recommend them. We had a personalized tour that took us from the north to the south. It was private and personalized. It was great service. Very friendly and helpful, efficient. They designed the tour around what we wanted to do whether it was bicycling, kayaking or hiking. I can not say enough good about them. We are already planning on coming back.

We just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done for us. You organised our whole trip perfectly and were always there to help with any questions, changes or little problems along the way. We had a truly enjoyable and enriching journey through Vietnam. The trip was very well organized, and we appreciated the smooth logistics, warm welcomes, and knowledgeable guides throughout.

Highlights included Hanoi’s vibrant charm, a fantastic lunch with a Muong family, the beautiful Lan Ha Bay cruise, and cultural experiences in Hoi An and Hue. The Vespa tour in Ho Chi Minh City was a real standout.

While some hotels, like in Mai Chau and Can Tho, did not fully meet expectations, and airport immigration in Hanoi was chaotic, these were minor compared to the overall quality of the experience.

Travelling with Authentik Vietnam was one of the best experiences we've had in Southeast Asia. The itinerary was well thought out, blending luxury and authenticity. We especially enjoyed the cooking class in Hoi An and the private boat cruise in Lan Ha Bay. Everything was seamless – from the warm welcome at the airport to the farewell dinner in Ho Chi Minh City. The team is incredibly professional and attentive. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a meaningful travel experience in Vietnam

Overall, the trip was very successful: enjoyable and educational, and we learned so much about Vietnam and the Vietnamese people.

The welcome in almost all of the places we visited and stayed was warm and genuine – some countries in the West could learn a lot from Vietnam.

So starting at the beginning: arriving at Hanoi Airport after travelling for nearly 24 hours, the ‘welcome’ at Immigration at Hanoi Airport was very disappointing and chaotic. There were insufficient staff and gates open, there were massive queues which stretched out of the hall, and it took about 1.5 hours or so to be processed. Not the sort of welcome we expected. Obviously, you have no control over this.

Our stay in the North was really interesting and varied. The hotel in Hanoi was excellent and the cooking course and jeep tour were good fun and worth doing. We were disappointed with the Mai Chau Ecolodge Hotel, it was not up to a 4-5 star boutique hotel and the breakfast and dinners were not great. However, our guide Lee was exceptional  (as was the driver) and was in tune with what we could do and wanted to do. We particularly likes the lunch with the Muong Family.

The Hanasa Pulong Resort was fine and the time spent there was interesting.

We enjoyed our time in Ninh Binh although the town was very busy. The hotel is large and again, not a small luxurious boutique hotel was nevertheless, fine.

The Lan Ha Bay trip was great too. Although we were initially confused and a little disappointed that it was not a three-day trip, it was a highlight of the whole trip. The boat was superb as was the food and we were able to do the activities in the short space of time. The only issue was the weather, very cloudy and misty with no views but it did not detract too much.

Hoi An: The guide was again excellent: he fitted in the programme around timings, and it was a nice balance between the culture and other activities. The show was particularly entertaining and not too touristy.  The hotel was very good.

We had a different guide for the My Son Sanctuary.

Fusion Resort Da Nang: It was nice to have a few days rest. The hotel is very comfortable and the service was excellent. However, I would say it not a boutique hotel but we enjoyed our time there.

Hue: Pilgrimage Village Boutique Hotel. The boat, flower making and bike trips were excellent as was the visits to the Hue Citadel.  And the lunch  in the countryside was particularly good. The guide was also very good.

HCMC: the arrival was very difficult due to the 50th anniversary rehearsals. It took 3 hours to get from the airport to the hotel. However, the hotel was the best of all the hotels, it is a small boutique hotel with excellent and friendly service, ideally located and with great food too.

Our programme had to be changed to reflect our late arrival and it was great that you were abler to rearrange the Vespa trip to the Sunday. It was a highlight of the whole trip. We would have like to have more time in HMC rather than spending 8 hours in the car to stay at the Can Tho Ecolodge which was not very good. We felt that the trips to the floating market and the other boat trips were not worth the time spent in the car and we would have preferred to spend the time in HCMC. However, we were very grateful for the excellent lunch in HCMC: thank you!

It was great to have guides greet us at the airports and hotels along with the drivers and to organise all our transfers: there was very little stress apart from HMC arrival!

In summary, the trip was great and we thank you for organising it and for being so responsive and helpful.

My journey was an absolute dream come true. From the stunning landscapes of Ha Long Bay to the bustling life of Hanoi, every moment was perfectly organized. I felt cared for and completely free to soak in the beauty of Vietnam. Highly recommended!

Traveling with two curious kids is not always easy, but Authentik Vietnam made it seamless. From the puppet show in Hanoi to the cooking class in Hue, every day brought something new and exciting for them. We especially appreciated the time spent in a village homestay where our children could interact with local kids and learn how to make rice paper. It was not just a vacation, it was a life lesson.
