Day 02 : Hanoi City tour (B/L/-)

Exploring the Temple of Literature or Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, the outstanding Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, visiting the French Quarter, and discovering the Hanoi Old Quarter

9:00 AM: Get picked up by tour guide to the Temple of Literature which was built under the Ly dynasty in the 11th century for worshipping Confucius and teaching Royal children. Enjoy a walk in the garden to the city’s symbol Khue Van Cac. You will then visit the World Heritage "stone steles” which shows the names of outstanding students. Continue to explore the Quoc Tu Giam which is considered the first national university of Vietnam.

The next stop is the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed every Monday) which offers a deep insight into Vietnamese culture through traditional costumes, tools, musical instruments, and traditional houses of many ethnic groups. To fully explore this interesting museum, it takes you around two hours. 

In the afternoon, visit (outside) Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum before continuing the day with a walking tour in the Hanoi Old Quarter. Start with a small pagoda named Ba Da quietly located in a small alley - only a few steps from the Hanoi Great Cathedral, built by French colonialism in the 19th century. Your tour guide takes you to typical streets of Hanoi, such as Lan Ong Street, which sells traditional medicine, and Lo Ren Street, where metal items are produced. Stop to visit the Dong Xuan Central Market - the largest in Hanoi. Continue walking to the famous area for night activities and street food - Ta Hien Street, where you can see the vibrant streets with a lot of amazing local foods and drinks. Try to taste some for an unforgettable experience.

Return to the city center and take a break before attending the water puppet show, a unique performance that originated in the 11th century. These shows depict the daily life, culture, and beliefs of the Vietnamese people through puppets moving on water. The performance often includes traditional music as well.

Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Day 03 : Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

07:45 – 08:15 : Pick-up at your hotel  in Hanoi and transfer to Halong Bay

12:00 – 12:30  : Embark the cruise at Tuan Chau International harbor. Enjoy a welcome drink and cruise briefing.

13:00 – 15:30  : A sumptuous lunch is served while we cruise into the untouched Bay with its thousands of  extraordinarily shaped limestone islands, considered by the Vietnamese to be heaven on the earth (we can cater you Vegetarian food).

15:30 – 17:00 :Turn right to reach the center of Ha Long Bay for a visit to its largest cave called Sung Sot Cave or (Surprising cave). Paddle in our 2-person kayak through a limestone Tunnel Grotto called (Hang Luon) into a lovely lagoon. You may even see wild monkeys playing on the mountain cliffs. Paddle along and through narrow passages to visit the Man head island, Butterfly cave and Horse Neck stone. Spend more time in swimming from the boat or from your kayak in the emerald waters…

17:00 – 19:00  : Return to the Cruise for a Sunset party to admire the best moments of the day when the sun starts to set. Anchor in a tranquil lagoon among Bai Tu Long Bay, Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay for dinner and a peaceful night on the boat.

19:00               : Savor an amazing and dreamlike dinner in the Cruise with extremely delicious food and be awed by a fascinating fruit and vegetable carving performance. Afterwards, socialize with new friends and crew members, enjoy squid fishing, or simply relax on your boat’s top deck in the middle of the tranquil bay.

Day 04 : Halong - Hanoi - Fly to Saigon (B/L/-)

06:30 – 07:00: Start your new day with a Tai Chi session or a photo hunt if you can get up early.

07:30 – 08:00: Enjoy breakfast in the fresh air and peaceful beauty of the Bay
08:00 – 09:30    : Wake up for a new day by Walking up 340 constructed terraced steps to the top of Titop Mountain peak for a 360 degree of Amazing view of Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay - Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island National Park. Walk down to Ti Top beach, a naturally formed sand beach, for a refreshing dip in the bay.

09:30 – 10:00  : Pack your luggage and check out of the cabin while cruising towards the harbor. Following this inner route will lead you through the most beautiful zone of Ha Long Bay including the Dog stone, the Fighting Cock islet, the Couple islet, the 3 -Tunnel grotto and the floating fishing villagesand fish farms.
10:00 – 11:30 : Join in a cooking demonstration before enjoying an exceptional Buffet lunch.

11:45 -12:00: pack up and disembark then transfer directly to airport for flight to Saigon.

Day 05 : Saigon city tour (B/-/-)

Meet our tour guide and driver at your htoel to enjoy a full day city tour.

Visit the Reunification palace (or the war memorials Museum), Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office inspired by Orsay Station in Paris.
Then, transfer to Cho Lon District to discover its old quarter, Binh Tay Market and the colorful Quan Am pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in the city. Its architecture and decorations have remained since its construction.

Return to Saigon city for a walk in the city center visiting sites like the former Catinat streets, the Opera house, City Hall as well as Ben Thanh market.

Saigon - Ben Tre - Saigon (B/L/-)

Day 06 : Saigon - Ben Tre - Saigon (B/L/-)

Our tour guide and driver welcome you at your hotel for transfer to Ben Tre – a beautiful region in the Mekong Delta River, famous for making coconut candy.

Arrive at Hung Vuong pier, then take a boat trip on the Ben Tre River to discover the daily local life.
Stop to visit the brick kiln of Mr Tu Lo and discover the craft methods of making bricks.
Next, visit the coconut factory and meet Mr Vo Van Ba. He is a man passionate about traditional music and has spent all his life making a collection of fifty folk instruments. Here, you can attend a show to appreciate his passion.
Continue your boat trip on a canal to Nhon Thanh Village. This will be an opportunity to taste the fresh fruits.

Take a bike ride (or Tuk tuk) on a small path through the villages and enjoy views of the coconut ranges, rice fields and vegetable gardens. A lunch of Elephant fish ear is served in the village . A short walk will help you to discover the local life in depth. This is followed by a boat ride on the small canal shaded by the wild palm trees.
Transfer back to Saigon in the late afternoon.
