Our Authentik Travel’s tour guide and driver will welcome you at airport and transfer to Hotel in the city center.
Get some first briefing information about our country and enjoy a welcome dinner in a finest local restaurant.
Overnight in Saigon

Saigon – full day city tour (B/-/-)

Day 02 : Saigon – full day city tour (B/-/-)

After your breakfast, Enjoy a full day Saigon city tour.

Visit the Reunification palace (or the war memorials Museum), the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office inspired by the Orsay Station in Paris.
Then transfer to Cho Lon District to discover its old quarter, the wholesale Binh Tay Market and Quan Am pagoda a colorful pagoda and one of the oldest pagodas in the city, its architecture and decorations have still remained since its construction.

Return to Saigon city for a walk in the city center, the former Catinat streets, exterior of Opera house, the city hall as well as Ben Thanh market.
Overnight in Saigon.

Saigon – Ben Tre (B/L/D)

Day 03 : Saigon – Ben Tre (B/L/D)

Authentik Travel’s tour guide and driver welcome you at your hotel for transfer to Ben Tre – a beautiful region  in the Mekong Delta River, famous for making coconut candy.
Arrive in Hung Vuong pier; get on a boat trip on the Ben Tre River to discover the daily local life.

Stop to visit the brick kiln of Mr Tu Lo and discover the craft methods of making bricks.
Then visit the coconut factory, meeting Mr Vo Van Ba. He is passionate about traditional music; he spent all his life in making and collections of fifty folk instruments, attending a show to appreciate his passion.
Continue our boat trip on a canal to Nhon Thanh Village. This will be an opportunity to taste the fresh fruits.

Take a bike ride (or Tuk tuk) on a small path through the villages; enjoy watching the coconut ranges, rice fields and vegetable gardens. Lunch is served in the village with Elephant fish ear.

A short walk will help you to discover the local life in depth. Followed by a boat ride on the small canal shaded by the wild palm trees.
For those who wish to ride bike: ride a bike to Mr Sau Khanh’s house to admire his ancient objects collections then continue through the rice fields. Meet the peasants and you could join in their works.

Transfer back to the village where you would spend a night in homestay.
Later afternoon, you could be possible to prepare dinner with the hosts.
Dinner and overnight homestay in Ben Tre.

Ben Tre – Cho Lach – Tra Vinh (B/L/D)

Day 04 : Ben Tre – Cho Lach – Tra Vinh (B/L/D)

After breakfast, Transfer to Cho Lach and Tra Vinh with a stop to visit Bonsai garden on the way. Cross the Mekong River by Ferry. Arrive in Cau Ke villages of Khmer people. It belongs to Tra Vinh province.  Check in the homestay.

Lunch is served in homestay and enjoy bike ride through Ba Mi village. Visit the surrounding area and meet the local farmers who work on the garden (vegetable garden or fruits garden). This is an opportunity to approach the local life and the hospitality of the people in this region.
Continue to visit the cathedral and Ba Mi School.( closed in Summer holiday)
End of your biking  by a visit to Khmer pagoda before return to homestay for your refreshment.

Enjoy dinner and overnight at Sounsia homestay.
(Note: there are 1-2 motorbikes for those who could not ride bike)

Tra Vinh – Sa Dec – Long Xuyen (B/L/-)

Day 05 : Tra Vinh – Sa Dec – Long Xuyen (B/L/-)

Breakfast at homestay.  Take bike ride through the nursery fields. Continue to visit some Khmer villages: Canh Dai, Tra Khao, Giong Lon…then departure by car to Huynh Ky family house, dated back at the beginning the 20 century which preserved a mixture of oriental and western architecture.

Transfer to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec where we could visit Kien An Cung pagoda, visit the Huynh Thuy Le house in the novel by Marguerite Duras “ L’Amant – the Lover”,  Discover the local market in Sa Dec which is rich in fruits, vegetable, and fishes.

Continue to Long Xuyen, visit Cao Dai temple on route and a crocodile farm.
Overnight at Hotel in Long Xuyen.

Long Xuyen – Saigon (B/-/-)

Day 06 : Long Xuyen – Saigon (B/-/-)

In the morning, we will transfer to visit the floating market and floating village in Long Xuyen which are animated and authentic on a small Mekong River. We discover the daily activities of people living by the river.

Enjoy a boat trip to Cu Lao Ong Ho where there is a small museum about our president Ton Duc Thang.
Take a bike ride on the island and enjoy the beauty of peaceful landscapes.

Road back to Saigon via Sa Dec. Enjoy a visit Sa Dec flower garden.
Arrive in Saigon. Check in your hotel.
Overnight in Saigon.

Saigon – fly to Hanoi (B/-/-)

Day 07 : Saigon – fly to Hanoi (B/-/-)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi.

On arrival, get a pick up to hotel. Check in hotel (after 12.00 noon) or leaving your luggage at hotel and enjoy a walking in the old quarter called 36 streets.
The city was built from the 10th century by the villagers by the Red River Delta. You could see the special architectural houses. They are narrow in width and deep in length. You cross to discover some typical streets such as: Ma May, Hang Ma, Hang Dong, Hang Bac and Hang Gai… and tourist sites stop: Dong Xuan market – the biggest market in the northern Vietnam, Bach Ma temple ( white horse temple) and the traditional ancient house at 87 Ma May street.

Back to your hotel after city tour and take a rest.

Hanoi city tour (B/-/-)

Day 08 : Hanoi city tour (B/-/-)

Today, we discover deeply the capital of Vietnam, filled with timeless charms.
Start to visit the Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) the first University of Vietnam built from the 11th century by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong. Continue to visit Chua Ha (Ha Pagoda) known as a sacred place to pray for the luck in love, especially for the future spouse.

After that, transfer to Ethnology Museum (closed every Monday) which offers a deep insight into our Vietnam cultures through traditional costumes, tools, music instruments and real typical traditional house of many minority ethnic groups. Enjoy a special water puppet show in the museum garden.
Lunch is served in Cha Ca Thang Long restaurant (Grilled fish with vermicelli) a Hanoi specialty.

In the afternoon, discover the Ho Chi Minh complex included: Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh House on stilts, fish pond.
For those who are interested in visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum: it is opened only in the morning and closed every Monday and Friday. We have to queue up sometimes to a couple of hours to go inside the mausoleum.

Transfer to the old quarter to visit the Hoan  Kiem lake ( Restored Sword Lake) and Ngoc Son temples in the middle of the lake.

Hanoi – Mai Chau (B/L/D)

Day 09 : Hanoi – Mai Chau (B/L/D)

At 8.00am, meet our tour guide and driver for a depart to Mai Chau where Muong people live. On the way, we will visit a Muong village at Cau Trong. Continue to Thung Khe pass where offer a splendid panorama views of the valley before arriving in Mai Chau town.

Mai Chau is a beautiful valley, located 150km away from Hanoi. It is great place with harmony landscapes, green mountain ranges, rice terraces, villages, White Thai ethnic people and their house on stilts.
Arrival at 12.00, enjoy our lunch with traditional delicious foods in village. Relax then discover this valley by bikes or walking to Na Phon through the rice fields and villages.

Discover the local cultures with their daily life. On the way, see the rural works on rice fields, see the weaving craftsman, we could encounter with locals, visit Thai family, all of these make an authentic life of the locals in this region.
Back to the village for dinner and enjoy a homestay at the village (stay at the house on stilts, basic equipment but quite comfortable for an authentic experience, included: clean mattress, pillow, mosquito net, blankets, outside bathroom)

Option: You could attend a traditional dancing show while tasting of local alcohol ( On request).

Mai Chau – Pa Co – Hang Kia – Cun Pheo – Mai Hich (B/L/D)

Day 10 : Mai Chau – Pa Co – Hang Kia – Cun Pheo – Mai Hich (B/L/D)

Depart from Mai Chau to Pa Co. it is possible to visit a local market in Pa Co on Sunday. Pa Co located 35 km from Mai Chau, closed to Moc Chau plateau. This is a place of H Mong people, living in the hills.
Start a trekking to Pa Co – Hang Kia commune through the green Hmong Villages. This ethnic group previously cultivated poppy. Nowadays, they cultivate maize, manioc, groundnuts…
Discover the local life in Hmong village; visit a family, a schooland a dispensary…
The plum hills, primitive forest, the rice terrace field will follow you along the way.

Enjoy a picnic lunch
In the afternoon, you will trek down to the slopes to reach of Cun Pheo Valley. Meet our driver and transfer to accommodation in Mai Hich village.
Homestay and enjoy dinner with local family.

Mai Hich – Eo Ken – Chieng Lau – Don village (B/L/D)

Day 11 : Mai Hich – Eo Ken – Chieng Lau – Don village (B/L/D)

Enjoy your breakfast at the village and transfer to visit Eo Ken, 30km away from Mai Hich. On the way, you could take a stop for some visits.

Arrive in Eo Ken where the Muong Ethnic lives, you will walk down the slope and enjoy the spectacular view of Pu Luong Nature reserve, rice field terrace and mountain. Visit a family of Muong ethnic in the village Eo Ken an extraordinary discovery of their authentic life.
Continue walking through this beautiful landscapes and crossing a stream and reach another village – Hang Village. Lunch will be at local family or picnic lunch.

In the afternoon, transfer to Chieng Lau Village a beautiful rice field place, bamboo water wheels, walk through the field to the village to encounter the locals. Discover their life, culture and customs.

Another highlight of the day, enjoy a bamboo rafting along the river will give you an exceptional moment of relaxation after walking.
Take our transfer to Don Village for accommodation and dinner.

Don – Bang – Kho Muong Village – Uoi village (walking 15km) (B/L/D)

Day 12 : Don – Bang – Kho Muong Village – Uoi village (walking 15km) (B/L/D)

Breakfast at your homestay then enjoy a walking day to discover the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and its inhabitants.

Start from Don Village and throughout the valley, crossing the rice terrace to Kho Muong village – the most remote village in Pu Luong. Located in the valley and surrounded by the beautiful lime stone mountains and rice terrace. Kho Muong is the habitat of Thai. Admiration of their rice terraces, encounter the local en route. You camera should be always ready for the masterpiece pictures of the century.

Lunch will be served in Kho Muong Village.
In the afternoon, continue following the trails in the forest and the manioc field to reach Uoi village, a beautiful village of Thai ethnic still preserved the thatched houses. Keep walking to Lan Ngoai Village before take a transfer back to accommodation for relaxing.
Overnight in Don Village.

Pu Luong – Scared fish – Hanoi (B/L/-)

Day 13 : Pu Luong – Scared fish – Hanoi (B/L/-)

Enjoy breakfast before saying good bye the host then walking down to the spectacular valley of rice terrace. Hiking through small paths and reach slowly to 4 picturesque villages: Leo – Mo – Chu – Danh.

Your camera is very helpful to capture these unforgettable beautiful moments. During the hiking, you will enjoy the changing of the landscapes rice terrace, villages, wild fields, ponds, streams, mountains and plain intermingle.
Lunch will be at a local.

In the afternoon, enjoy a transfer back to Hanoi. On the way, visit the sacred fish stream in Cam Luong. This place is well known for a special kind of fish with high density in the stream. It is called sacred fish for the many mysterious stories created around this special creature.
Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Enjoy your last minutes in the capital of Vietnam before transfer to airport for your flight to next destinations or flight home.
